Around Halloween a family donated a big bag of gold necklaces.
In the pumpkin they reminded me of pumpkin guts.
The children have been playing with them everyday since.
Making shapes and letters.
They were great for dragging around and pretending to be fire.
One day I added three large jars and watched how they played.
They filled the jars with the beads then worked at getting them out.
Shaking the jars was the preferred method.
There were some days that many of the people in the program were wearing
necklaces.
Even if they chose to or not.
And the babies love the beads.
This video shows this baby playing with the beads.
