Last week I introduced textured hoops to my grand children.
They are made from old embroidery hoops and different fabrics.
The oldest grand child looked at them first, feeling each one.
Then we put them on the floor and shared them with one of her cousins.
They explored the hoops together.
Introducing descriptive words to help label what they might be feeling.
My daughter took the following pictures of her girls playing with the hoops.
She set up the hoops so they were in easy reach for accidental touching,
grabbing and tasting.
