Last week while we were investigating our sunflowers I was thinking of different ways we could represent and make sunflowers. Today we used some of the old yellow petals from the sunflower plus blossoms that a couple of families brought in to make window art for our classroom.
The frames are thin paper plates with the centres cut out. Contact paper was cut and stuck to the backs.
The children chose their flower petals and stuck it to the contact paper. I also included coloured paper circles. This is what they created.
They don't look like sunflowers but they do look great on the windows.
We will be making more tomorrow.
