Rainbow Sponge Painting

This week we are talking about the weather and especially rainbows.
Today at the art table we painted rainbows using a sponge.
Paint coloured stripes of the rainbow on to your sponge.
Then press it on to your paper.
And swipe it across the paper.
Some swipes didn't go in an arc.
Some painted on the skinny edge of the sponge.
Which left a much smaller rainbow.
But they all turned out beautiful.

  1. THIS. IS. AWESOME! I love such creative and simple ideas like this!

  2. Thanks Deborah - it was so easy and beautiful.
It expands the children and parents thinking of what can be used for painting.

  3. I love this - I will definitely link to it on my site. I'm new to the blogging world, and it's great to stumble across nice blogs like this one.

  4. What a great idea!! A fun way to paint rainbows for the little ones.

Thanks for sharing this post at For the Kids Fridays at SunScholars! I'll be posting the next party later tonight. I can't wait to see what you have to share this week!
